MR. SAM ROHOVIT
6TH GRADE

Hey there! My name is Sam Rohovit and this is my first year teaching at Iowa Valley! I am originally from Manteca, CA. I graduated from Coe college in 2020 with my degree in Elementary Education. I have reading, Language Arts, and coaching endorsements. This year in 6th grade your students will be working on enhancing their reading comprehension skills through various strategies and practices as well as expanding their vocabulary. I also teach 6th Grade Social Studies and our 4 main units will be covering the ins and outs of different cultures including how they came to be the country they are now compared to who they were in the past. As well as seeing what they did in the past and how it impacted their future. The 3 countries we will be going over are: Greece, China, and Egypt. We will also have the culture fair at the end of the year where students will be creating a project about a country’s culture of their choosing. Looking forward to another amazing year!
